Sheboygan County Fair
Labor Day Weekend
August 29th - September 2nd, 2024
The Sheboygan County Fair is hosted over Labor Day weekend in Plymouth, WI, just 21 minutes from Blue Harbor Resort. The fair features all the classic attractions from live stock exhibits to carnival rides, live entertainment daily, and of course delicious fair food!
The Sheboygan County Agricultural Society held the first annual fair in Sheboygan Falls in 1851, but the location changed from year to year, sometimes with fairs being held in multiple towns. The Sheboygan County Fair Association didn't hold it's first meeting until 1896. The following year, 23 acres of land east of Plymouth was secured and became the true home of the fair. The centralized location on Fairview Drive led to the success of the fair, as merchants from all over the county traveled to set up displays and farm exhibitors showed keen interest by entering more animals and bigger vegetables each year. Early fair events included a beautiful baby contest, fortune telling gypsies, wheelbarrow races, and greased pig contests!
Today you'll find everything from farm machinery, sewing projects, champion pigs, carnival rides, live music, and even stock car racing on the Plymouth Dirt Racing track. There is something for everyone to eat form corn dogs to cotton candy, plus corn on the cob and their famous steak sandwich on a Sheboygan Hard Roll.
The Sheboygan County Fair is a non-profit association found in 1851 to promote the quality of life by means of entertainment and education in the interest of youth involvement, family, farming, and commercial progress.
