Fall Family Fun This October

FALL FAMILY FUN THIS OCTOBER 2025 WHATS NEW AT THE BLUE BLOG

After a busy summer full of fun under the sun, relaxing by the lake, and making a splash in Breaker Bay Waterpark, autumn has fully arrived. The leaves along the lakeshore have already begun to turn, and there’s the distinct smell of autumn carried by the brisk and refreshing breeze that has replaced the heavy humid summer air. These aren’t the only signs that autumn has covered the Sheboygan lakeshore like a cozy, cable knit blanket. It’s also the return of some of our favorite fall fun events! Oktoberfest Great Lakes returns for the second annual year at Blue Harbor starting October 3rd through the 5th. Boo Harbor closely follows during the next three October weekends, the 10th-12th, the 17th-19th, and the 24th-26th. And as if that wasn’t enough, we are so excited to share the launch of Community Nights in Breaker Bay Waterpark on Thursdays beginning Thursday, Oct. 9rd. Without further ado, let’s get into it all.

Get out your Dirndl and Lederhosen and put your polka dancing shoes on, Oktoberfest Great Lakes returns to On The Rocks Bar & Grill the night of Saturday, October 4th! 2025 marks the second annual year of Oktoberfest Great Lakes, and we have some new additions to the festivities, and some of the same hits from last year. For starters, we’re welcoming back the Green Bay-based Polka band the Sugar Bush Boys! Performing live from 6pm-9pm, the SBB will be in On The Rocks Bar & Grill right where the heart of the Oktoberfest party will be. This entire night is an open, public event - you do not have to be an overnight guest of the resort to attend! The first 100 people in the doors will get a free Oktoberfest Great Lakes Stein plus $1 off their first refill! But if you miss out on being one of the lucky first hundred, not to worry. Steins are still available for purchase as well as our leather Oktoberfest can koozies. Oktoberfest attendees are encouraged to dress in Dirndl & Lederhosen, the best dressed at the fest will be the lucky winner of a Blue Harbor Resort gift certificate! Friday, October 10th Boo Harbor takes over the resort for the weekend, as well as the following two weekends leading up to Halloween. BOOk a fun family fall weekend away to see what kind of spooky fun the resort has going on when it transforms into a hospitable haunt. Pumpkins and pirates, shipwrecks and spooky scavenger hunts, disguises and Dracula’s Bloody Bar wait for you in the dim corridors of Boo Harbor. We don’t want to give away too much of the frightful fun we have up our sleeves this year, but we can say with certainty we have some special events planned that adults and kids alike will both enjoy. Bring the family down to the Spooky Spa between 6pm and 7pm Saturday nights for our Trick or Treat Trail (and don’t forget your costumes!). For the adults, enjoy Dracula’s Bloody Bar in On The Rocks on Saturdays and Sundays between 10am and 3pm. We’re excited to welcomes back all monsters and ghouls for Boo Harbor 2025. We recently announced the start of our Waterpark Community Nights and are thrilled that we will offer them weekly on Thursdays starting Oct. 9th from 4pm-8pm all the way through to May 21st. Whether you’re looking for a bit of Thursday night family fun or you have a group looking for a fun activity to do together, all are welcome!
